Telsa is undoubtedly the most popular EV maker by volume in the USA. Tesla has over 68% market share for the EV market in the USA, and surely some of these hundreds of thousands of Teslas must be affordable, right? Would they qualify for the $4,000 used EV tax credit?
Let’s take a look at some of the least expensive Teslas for sale on the market, and where to buy cheap used Teslas.

The Lectrium team has found a handful of Teslas for sale just below the $25,000 mark. These have been listed usually right around the $24,000 mark, likely to pique the interest of shoppers in early 2023 who hope to scoop up a Tesla with the tax credit.
The Tesla Model 3 is the brand's newest cheapest car, but this came out in 2017, while the Model S came out in 2013.
Currently, we are only seeing used Model S Teslas from 2012 - 2014 showing up under the $25,000 range.
The lowest-priced Tesla Model 3 our team could find was in the $29,000 - $31,000 range.

This depends on what kinds of warranties, certainties, and tests the vehicle has undergone. As with purchasing any used vehicle, it is important to check things like the number of owners, accident reports, miles, brakes, handling, etc. When checking electric vehicles, it also helps to check the battery and range, as well as how long the vehicle will take to charge and how many kW the onboard charger can accept.
